An update from Okahirongo Elephant Lodge

An update from Okahirongo Elephant Lodge

We have recently upgraded our airstrip at Okahirongo Elephant Lodge. The airstrip at Purros has been freshly graded and is being watered regularly, making landing and taking off for charter aircrafts much smoother.

While the Giraffes are a common site at Elephant Lodge, we were thrilled to have the Desert Adapted Elephants walk past the lodge recently whilst guests were on the lookout for them – what a sighting!

It has also been reported that huge lion tracks were found only a few kilometers from the Lodge on the way to the Khumib River. We had a look at the Desert Lion Project’s website and see that the Terrace Male is in the region. How fortunate can we be!
