Unique experience and great food and lodging
Ron from Colorado stayed at the Hide in November 2013

“…The Hide is located adjacent to and connecting with the (Hwange) National Park, and the animals wander into and out between their large property and the park. They offer all kinds of drives, morning, afternoon, evening, and even night. They have a tree stand, and if you are courageous enough, you can spend the night there but you cannot leave until they come and get you and the potty could be a problem. They also have underground viewing areas close to the watering hole and you can spend some time there. They are very safety conscious, and ensure that you are either enclosed somewhere or that an armed and trained person is with you.”

Emsmul from Harare stayed at the Hide in October 2013

“… The service here is impeccable – all the staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Nicholas was our guide for the two days and there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer, he really made the game drives and walks something special…

The tents were beautiful, the outdoor shower and bath tub in the room were a lovely touch. On the second night my boyfriend and I stayed in the ‘Dove’s Nest’, this is a treehouse in the bush – very romantic. The food (at) the Hide is also very good – the most memorable was the homemade blueberry ice-cream dusted with cinnamon, the chefs do a wonderful job.

I can’t wait to go back some day, absolute luxury in one of the best parks in Zimbabwe.”

An unforgettable Break
Patty Bee from London stayed at the Hide in October 2013
“… We have not stopped talking about our time at The Hide.

All of the team individually and separately, made our time at The Hide memorable. So many happy memories. Their care and attention to detail throughout our stay was appreciated. Their professional, yet personal touch, so good! Simple thing like walking us to and from our tent on an evening; practical but pleasant!

The Hide is a stunning property, but made so so much more by the whole team who work so hard to ensure we had an amazing stay. And we did have an unforgettable break.”

Wonderful safari camp
Patty W from Ogden, Utah stayed at the Hide in October, 2013

“We stayed three nights at The Hide. It truly is a very top notch camp. The water hole out in front is lighted so you can see the animals that come in to drink. The food was delicious. Their tents are real quality. It was a very special treat when we got in bed and there was a hot water bottle on each side of the bed.
Our guide, Nicholas, was very experienced and made all the drives very enjoyable. We stayed in three different camps, this one was the best.”

“Beauty without borders” is the fitting motto associated to the luxury safari camp and its location speaks of this. The Hide promises an uncrowded, intimate bush stay with accommodation in ten beautiful tented suites with views over the waterhole and numerous safari activities on offer.
A recent exciting sighting at the Hide included 8 hyenas seen recently on a morning drive at Ngweshla. They were enjoying a massive feast, feeding on an elephant. They made short work of it, devouring almost the entire carcass in a day. Quite a sight to watch! Thanks to our guest Jean-Michel Blake, for sharing this photo with us.

A sunset at Mbiza is always worth the trip and during the rainy season the clouds make it that much more dramatic. If you have not visited us we invite you to come and experience the beauty of an African sunset at The Hide.
