Lions that Lunch at Cottar’s 1920s Camp

It’s all action in the Mara as the wildebeest and zebra continue to cross the river and cover the surrounding plains.

With the migration in full swing there are a lot of healthy, full and fat lions lazing about. Cottar’s 1920s Camp has had some fabulous sightings of lion kills and prides enjoying family feasts.

Our guests enjoyed spending some time in the midst of the action, watching the meal progress with lions vying for the best ‘seat at the table’ and jackals sneaking in to pinch a piece.

Calvin Cottar has been very busy.  He was recently interviewed on Voice of America on “How do we value wildlife“ and features in an article on Outside Go which includes a lovely write up of Cottar’s 1920s Camp and the Cottar’s Bush Villa

Cottar’s also features in the National Geographic Traveller this month.
