At Changa Safari Camp, we are increasingly involved in the effectively run, ‘Matusadona Lion Project’ through Principal Researcher, Rae Kokeš.
Certain lions in the park had GPS collars fitted in 2014 and very soon, by April 2017 we intend to replace the dying batteries of these collars. All this must be done before the young males begin to roam, as trying to locate them once they leave the pride becomes extremely difficult.
We intend to raise awareness for support and funding of the new GPS collars for the future of these lions and also to share these incredible experiences for others to see.
