“Yoga makes you harmonious with nature and teaches you to be joyfully curious about your inner world.” – Debasish Mridha
With its big skies, untouched wilderness, and vast open spaces, travelling to Namibia is often described as a “spiritual” experience. Situated in Namibia’s Bwabwata National Park, Nambwa Tented Lodge offers guests a unique way of interacting with this spiritual element of Namibia.
This December, Nambwa Tented Lodge will be hosting a transformative Yoga and Wildlife Retreat offering you an opportunity to nourish your soul and connect deeply with the elements and energy of nature.
Working with the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether, you will explore the connection between the elements and our subtle energetic bodies. Gaining a deeper understanding of how our energetic centres work and creating a holistic self-practice that can heal, restore and balance our energy.
Some of the highlights of this 7-day retreat will include daily yoga and meditation in nature, shamanic healing, reiki treatments, working with the 7 main energy centres in the body – your chakras, delicious healthy food, accommodation in an exclusive luxury lodge, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife.
What to Expect:
Most days are set to begin with a morning yoga practice out in nature. What better place to find yourself at sunrise? The remainder of the day will be spent on excursions, shamanic and reiki sessions, relaxation or optional extra spa treatments.
As the days draw to a close, you will find yourself back in nature for an afternoon yoga practice at sunset. This is an incredible way to end the day and quiet your mind before dinner under the starlit skies.
A little more about Nambwa Tented Lodge:
Nestled into the treetops in the heart of the Mayuni Conservancy, within Bwabwata National Park, the location of Nambwa Tented Lodge is spiritual all on its own, but a Yoga and Wildlife Retreat in this setting promises to be something quite out of this world.
Built with privacy and comfort in mind, the lodge offers 10 spacious tented suites, each tastefully decorated with natural colours, and boasting their own private viewing decks. Wooden walkways link the luxury suites to the expansive main deck, allowing the elephants and other wildlife to pass freely beneath. The main area comprises the bar, dining area and fire pit; and offers rewarding views of the below floodplains and the large herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game that seek refuge under the tented suites at night.
