Musango Safari Camp is now 26 years old! And what better time to reflect and give thanks for all the wonderful times, guests, friends, animals, and experiences we have all come to love over the years?
Musango grows from strength to strength and over the years we have transformed our wonderful piece of paradise into an even more amazing utopia.
Our tents have been converted into larger, more spacious, cooler and more comfortable rooms, with wonderful panoramic views of the lake and mountains. Our 2 honeymoon suites still boast the coolest plunge pools with amazing views.
We now offer the first ever floating star bed to stun our guests with the wonders of the heavens. Imagine floating on a pontoon in a double bed with nothing but the stars as your ceiling! Constellations, shooting stars, meteorites, majestic moonlight, all serenaded by the grunts and snorts of hippos, the distant whoops of hyenas or roars of lion. A radio is on hand to call up more champagne, another soft pillow or merely to stay in touch with the Musango team.
As we speak, our bird hide is being totally refurbished offering more space and a tap to control the mist sprayers.
Steve has once again discovered yet another dinosaur! During a recent visit by leading scientists, paleontologists and geologists a further 2 new dinosaur fossils were located. These still have to be classified but all indications are that once again we may have a new to science fossil to add to our other new fossilized Phytosaurus discovered by Steve recently.
Our wildlife continues to delight us with wonderful sightings of newly born elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, kudu, bushbuck, zebra, hippo, and warthog. Our resident lion pride are still around and follow the buffalo herd constantly.

In addition to giving the elders a new lease on life with their new-found vision, we have also managed to get loads of books into the remote senior schools, as well as jerseys and knitted teddies for the babies, and stationery into the primary schools. Community development is a huge part of our ethos, and along with our training programs in-camp, we have seen youngsters finding work in other safari camps throughout Zimbabwe.
