It has been a busy month at Fugitives’ Drift Lodge.
A few weeks ago, we had a group conference weekend for forty people. The stunning Harford Library made for a fantastic corporate conference venue, and we look forward to the possibility of hosting more of these over the next year.
In other news, a few weeks ago, we were able to confirm the return of Helivate over our busy season next year, from mid-January until mid-March. For the second year running, we will be offering four different helicopter flights to any guests who are interested in having an aerial perspective of the battlefields and of the beautiful surrounding area- a fantastic addition to a battlefields visit. We will also be offering transfers to and from Durban airport and other lodges around KwaZulu Natal, meaning that guests are able to enjoy more time at their destinations and spend less time travelling.
With the return of the helicopter, next year comes the return of the pilot, Marc “Stewie” Stewardson; a great addition to the Fugitives’ Team. Stewie is a top-class pilot, and also a former British soldier. With his strong military background, he is able to give insight into the emotions, thoughts, and perspectives of the individuals on the battlefields, providing a unique perspective to the battlefields by air tours.
