Exciting Leopard Sighting
Christmas came early in Damaraland this year as guests and staff were blessed with a rare sighting of a female Leopard in the kopjes around Mowani Mountain Camp. She had been stalking a herd of Springbok at the waterhole but, they had already spotted her so she moved off into the shade of the rocks around the camp. After a short pause, she shot off down the rocks in the direction of a family of rock hyraxes minding their own business and basking in the warm sunshine. She missed every member of the family by only a whisker and quietly headed off to rest behind a large boulder. Check out more pictures here.
