Things have been heating up during October at Ghoha Hills with sightings.
Once again guests have been spoilt for choice on what their best photo opportunity would be. Two cheetahs resting in the shade, but staying on full alert for in case a meal presents itself. The resident leopards have not been shy either and have enthralled guests with lazily strolling past the vehicle or resting in the fork of the tree.
The hide at Ghoha Hills waterhole has been refurbished and is ideally positioned for optimum viewing over the waterhole. With the surrounding areas waterholes drying up, big breeding herds of elephant have been arriving daily at our waterhole. This provides an awesome setting for guests to watch the interaction within the family and to have some close encounter experiences with Mother Nature.
How exciting to have lion and elephant, 2 of the big five, in one photo – the superbly trained guides at Ghoha Hills are constantly on the lookout for opportunities for our guests to be blown away with magnificent photo opportunities. The Savuti Marsh Pride enjoying family time, the young male showing off his stunning mane and the beauty of the lionesses have all been in a day’s safari memory making.
Back at the Lodge things have not disappointed with the African Barred Owlet showing off and posing.
Mother Nature takes out her paintbrush and creates an amazing Halo around the sun.
