Jaci’s Safari Lodge’s Extreme Makeover

Jaci’s Safari Lodge’s Extreme Makeover

For nearly two decades, the main lodge at Jaci’s Safari Lodge has been the heartbeat of the camp.

Warm and colourful, it has welcomed countless guests over the years and been the starting point for thousands of safari stories. However, after seventeen years of action, it was time for the main lodge to get a makeover.

The inspiration behind the renovation was to allow guests to be as close to nature as possible, as well as to capitalise on the natural light by letting more sunshine into the building. The refreshed and bold redesign involved a complete rebuild – including a new roof, new floors, and a new open-plan kitchen. Initially, seeing the structure being torn down was an emotional moment for the team at Jaci’s, however now that it’s complete, it’s clear that it was definitely all worth it. The main lodge area now boasts drop-down canvas panels around the sides, making it warm and cozy when they’re down, and bright and airy when they’re up.

In addition to this, the lodge now features a new-and-improved lounge, fire place, bar, and dining areas. This refresh proudly reflects the unique and striking trademark decor and authentic, proudly South African atmosphere that has become synonymous with the experience are Jaci’s Safari Lodge. The renovations were completed on 1 August and since it’s reopening, people have been loving the sense of open space, and the option to dine outdoors but still be under cover. As before, the bright, bold décor (especially the couch) is very popular with guests.
