Via the implementation of the Jaci’s Staff Trust initiative, Jaci’s Lodges aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of each member of staff. The impact is far-reaching, with the ultimate aim of empowering, uplifting and inspiring the local community.
Jaci’s Staff Trust offers people who have been employed at Jaci’s for more than five years the opportunity to become a shareholder in the business. A total of 27% of the business is currently owned by staff. The shareholding is held in a trust, and eligible staff members receive their portion of the dividends at the end of each year.
This month Jaci’s Lodges is especially proud to announce that two staff members have been promoted! Congratulations to Malven Bere who has moved from Head of Housekeeping to Jaci’s Tree Lodge Junior Assistant Manager, and Paul Mogotlane who has moved up from laundry to Head of Housekeeping. Congratulations!
“My name is Paul Mogotlane I’m from Mabula Village outside Mokapane in Limpopo Province. I’m working at Madikwe Game Reserve in a beautiful lodge – Jaci’s Lodges. I’ve been working as Laundry Manager for almost 6 years, it’s been an amazing journey with my team working closely with housekeepers. I was making sure that the housekeepers did not run out of linen and taking control of what I do. As we stand now, I’ve taken a new role and challenge. I’m in a new position as a Housekeeping Manager and I’m planning to achieve so much that I want to make a difference in our rooms and encourage my team to work hard and have good working relationships.” Paul Mogotlane
