It’s all happening down at Tena Tena, where there was a close encounter as a pride of seven lions wandered through camp last week.
As if that wasn’t enough, guests leaving for a game drive had just driven out of camp when they witnessed an entire lion hunt and kill! Naturally, there was no need to continue with the game drive as it was all happening right there.
A new hyena den that has also been discovered, and what a treat some of our guests had as they watched the birth of three hyena pups. It was absolutely incredible to witness such a thing. The pups were born on some very fine sand and therefore dried out almost instantly before mum took them into the den.
It was not long before they were back out and the adults all stood watch as the three siblings explored their surroundings.
