Summer has waved its magical wand over the iSimangaliso Wetland Park as 2018 has welcomed the guests and staff at Makakatana Bay Lodge with glorious days!
We got in touch with Leigh Ann Morrison, owner of Makakatana Bay Lodge, to find out what’s the latest news at the lodge. This is what she had to share:
“I think it is appropriate to do a quick summary of 2017 before moving on! Our 5 standard rooms were renovated in June and have been well reviewed by our guests who have loved the fresh feel throughout and have made particular mention of the completely gutted and renovated indoor and outdoor bathrooms. The feel of the outdoors from within the comforts of the rooms have been enhanced and thoroughly appreciated.
Our passionate staff have been fantastic over the festive season and they have enjoyed meeting such wonderful guests, doing their best to make their holidays one to remember. Our great team have had fun and are excited about what awaits in 2018.
The Western Shores are looking too beautiful with wonderful herds of baby giraffe, wildebeest and zebra who all ‘hang out’ together in the dozens! The elephants are back (as always in summer) and seem to love hanging around the lodge. I think they must sense the festivities and want to be part of the vibe!
For those of you who do not know Bongani in reservations, he is sending his best wishes and waiting to take your bookings as always.
