The Grand Daddy is Making Waves by Saving Water!

The Grand Daddy is Making Waves by Saving Water!

We’d like to let all potential visitors to our hotel and beautiful city know that while the Cape Town water shortage is very real, The Grand Daddy will always have more than enough water for our in-house guests.

Cape Town is still 100% open for business, come and experience all the local flavour and flair that The Mother City has to offer!

We have implemented water saving measures at the hotel including aeration devices attached to all taps, two-minute showers, buckets in showers to collect grey water for use in our rooftop garden and we enforce a strict “no bathing” policy.

We were proud to show off our innovative water-wise techniques when the Cape Town Water Police dropped in for a spot check. And stay tuned…because this visit has lead to our hotel being featured on an upcoming episode of Carte Blanche which focuses on how businesses are doing their bit to curb water usage during the drought and push Day Zero back even further!

Bottled water is available in all our rooms and trailers for guests and also available to purchase in our Thirty Ate Eatery and Sky Bar.
