Amongst other recent renovations at Tongabezi Lodge (including a new pool and gymnasium) is The Bird House.
Tucked away, The Bird House is one of the six named houses at the lodge (alongside The Dog House, The Nut House, The Garden House, Honeymoon House and The Tree House) but until recently was one of the few without its own splash pool.
Perched on a cliff, The Bird House features a large suspended deck, a claw-footed, open-air bathtub and a private terrace for dining under the stars. The immense sliding wood and glass windows allow the sunset and the sounds of the Zambezi River to flow into the room.
Now guests can also enjoy cooling off in complete privacy in the new pool.
