There have been some amazing sightings up at Tena Tena but the one that stood out was watching a pride of lions just south of camp.
The group found the lions just before sunset and were able to spend quite a bit of time observing them in the afternoon light. They were even lucky enough to witness one of the young male lions unsuccessfully attempting to hunt a hippo.
The next stand out sighting was a leopard killing an impala and then dragging the carcass across the beach until it finally reached the safety of a tree. The sheer strength of a leopard never ceases to amaze us when you think how it climbs a tree with its kill, using its fingernails!
