It is not often that one gets to wander through the untamed wilderness, weaving between foliage and the beasts that live among it.
Walking Safaris are an incredible way to experience the African bush from a unique vantage point, equal to the wildlife.
During a recent walk at Changa Safari Camp, our guide Bruce Cronje and some guests were exploring the fascinating river systems of Matusadona National Park when to their surprise they came across a large male leopard. The stunning creature was lazing about and luckily did not seem too interested in his strange guests.
One can truly appreciate the magnificence and beauty of these elegant creatures as they stand, regal, only a few metres away. A truly memorable encounter for both Bruce and our lucky guests!
Once-in-a-lifetime Lunar Eclipse
One of Changa’s most charming attributes is all of the stunning locations in which to dine. With the exquisite lake Kariba lapping your doorstep and a backdrop of the Matusadonna mountain range, mealtime is never short of an incredible view. This past month our staff and guests were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime dinner entertainment with the full lunar eclipse of July’s blood moon. For this particular special occasion, we set the dining area up on the beach for guests to view the momentous event in all of its glory. The scenes were absolutely spectacular and our staff captured a few magnificent shots.
