CNN series featuring Lewa Wilderness

Lewa Wilderness were thrilled to host Anthony Bourdain and W. Kamau Bell, the host of CNN’s “United Shades of America” in March this year whilst filming for the new CNN series Parts Unknown.

After the recent and sudden death of Anthony Bourdain, CNN has announced they will be hosting a World Premiere of the Lewa episode at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC on 22nd September 2018. This was the last episode that was completed before Bourdain’s death and it will be the last to have Bourdain’s written narration, which gives the series its personal tone. During the episode, he meets the team at Lewa Wilderness, understands the conservation struggles and successes of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and explores and talks to the Il Ngwesi community that neighbours Lewa. It will be a wonderful send-off for Anthony Bourdain with the opening scene of the Lewa Wilderness Waco Bi-plane soaring across the Lewa planes.

Tickets are currently available for that event for $30: https://www.tribecafilm.com/TVfestival#23248
