Starting 2020 with a bang at Okahirongo

Okahirongo Elephant Lodge will be starting 2020 with a bang!

Like most lodges in Kaokoland, Okahirongo is usually closed during February as it is low season. However, early next year, Okahirongo will be hosting a very important launch of a new vehicle of one of the leading 4×4 automotive companies in the world. Therefore, they have decided to not close the lodge, but rather keep it open and run a few excellent specials during January and February.

SADC passport holders are invited to come and experience this remote area of Namibia at a 50% discount, and for international travellers, there will be discounts from 20% up to 40% off. These rates will be sent to the newsletter subscribers and published on the website.

As if these special offers aren’t enough to tempt you to visit Okahirongo, another wonderful reason to visit is the fact that there are new desert-adapted elephant calves in the area. This is such exciting news as Namibia is home to one of just two known groups of desert-adapted elephants in the world, so seeing them is an extremely rare and special experience.
