Kickstarting the New Year at Big Cave Camp

Kickstarting the New Year at Big Cave Camp

With some new renovations just completed, and a brand-new minibus joining the fleet, Big Cave Camp is starting the new year with a bang!

Camp Renovations
Big Cave Camp has completely renovated all the twin rooms to modernise them while still keeping the rustic charm that is synonymous with Big Cave. This involved replacing the basins, toilets, and showers with modern sanitary ware, and the showers have had new stone cladding and new copper plumbing and shower roses installed, as well as a fitted clear glass shower door.

They have also improved the lighting considerably in the rooms using downlighters that have been set into suspended teak lighting boxes. In the main bedrooms, the headboards were replaced, and the rooms were re-designed so that each bed now also has its own mosquito nets hung from a teak frame that surrounds the bed. The beds are 2 twins that sit next to each other and are made up with mattress converters as a king size bed or can be kept as twins.

The rooms also have new curtaining, and new fabrics on the ottomans, as well as new teak/wrought iron units for the tea and coffee station, and clothes hanging/storage area.

New Mini Bus
Big Cave Camp also has a new Toyota Regius Minibus which will be used for airport transfers and to transfer guests to Hwange National Park. This will make our guests lives a lot easier and make Big Cave even more accessible to travellers.
